Online Green concerns merging
Pittsburgh-based GreenMarketplace.com said it agreed to buy EthicalShopper.com, a competing online retailer of environmentally friendly products based in Los Angeles. Josh Knauer, the Carnegie Mellon University graduate who founded GreenMarketplace last year, will remain chief executive officer after the companies merge, while EthicalShopper co-founder Rachel Prishkolnik will become vice president of business development. Terms of the stock transaction, which is slated for Dec. 31, weren't disclosed.
